The Annex is a marketing services business working with talent, management and labels to deliver tailor-made marketing strategy and bespoke product launches and campaigns. We offer a wide range of services, which include DSP strategy, project management, international exploitation and creative direction. In 2021, The Annex won the 2021 TMN Tinnies for Music Marketing Business Of The Year and the team obtained certification for Mental Health First Aid.

The Annex have worked with a diverse client list including Passenger, Sheppard, ChillinIt, Didirri, Kota Banks, Triple One, Adam Lambert, Illy, Genesis Owusu, Ok Moon, Violent Soho, Mia Rodriguez, and Lime Cordiale alongside labels UNIFIED, Mom + Pop, Good Soldier and TMRW Music, Sweat It Out and Central Station Records. We have run number 1 album campaigns for Illy, Sheppard, Violent Soho, Lime Cordiale and Top 10 Debuts for Adam Lambert, Passenger and Triple One. 

MArdi Caught

Former GM for Warner Music, Mardi Caught carries a weight of global and domestic experience. She has previously held roles in the UK as International Marketing and Promotions Manager for EMI, Vice President of Talent and Music at MTV UK and General Manager of Columbia Music Sony UK (Ting Tings, Mark Ronson, Kings of Leon, Calvin Harris). During her time at MTV, Mardi served as a judge for the Mercury Music Prize and also the BBC Sound of 2006. She returned to Australia in 2009 to take up the GM role of Day One Entertainment at Sony Music Australia, before heading to Warner Music in 2011.

Hannah Heyen

Hannah has 5 years of experience in public relations and copywriting, working with FCMG companies from fashion to food and beverage. Most recently she has written for Netflix and Spotify, feeding her desire to work on projects in the music industry. As a creative herself, Hannah has dabbled in comedy writing, performing and producing in local productions around Sydney. A fresh face to the Annex, she brings an enthusiastic love for all things music and a drive to learn as much as she can about the industry.

Mitaru mcgaughey

Mitaru is a new face to The Annex. Joining from a data analysis and social economics background, Mitaru seeks to bring a new perspective to the team. Mitaru gained experience founding and managing Blak Label Music - a contemporary record label catering to First Nations artists - and through interning with The Annex prior to joining the team full-time.

Elfira Vania

Elfira is a pop culture junkie, avid music listener and concert goer. Completing a Bachelor in Marketing and a Master’s degree in Arts and Entertainment Management, she focused her research and thesis on how ethnicity bias affects the Australian hip hop music landscape. Elfira gained experience from interning with The PR Files and The Annex, joining the team to provide support in the coordination of artist campaigns and administration.

Elinor Williams

Elinor joins The Annex with a wealth of experience across the events, touring and recordings sides of the industry, previously working at TMRW music in Australia and freelancing with an impressive roster of electronic artists in Europe. Recently included in The Music Network’s 30 under 30, Elinor is passionate about working with artists of all levels, focusing on digital and social strategy, content creation and long term artist growth.
